Rodolfo Gomez Ponce de León

Rodolfo Gomez Ponce de Leon is the regional reproductive health advisor for the Latin American Center of Perinatology, Women and Reproductive Health (CLAP/WR) and the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO). Originally from Argentina, he lives and Works in Uruguay. He has been a senior health systems advisor to Ipas since 2005. Dr. Gomez Ponce de Leon previously served as adjunct professor at the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Gomez Ponce de Leon has served on a number of international committees including the International Consortium of Emergency Contraception, the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health and International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics’ unsafe abortion working group initiative.
