African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP)

The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) is an African led, regional non-profit research and policy Institute that was founded in 2010. AFIDEP seeks to contribute to sustained equitable development in Africa by bridging the gaps between research, policy, and practice. The Institute promotes and supports the use of credible evidence (including research, monitoring and evaluation, budget and other routine data from government systems) in policy and programme decisions as well as in service provision to track performance to accelarate the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Institute's Strategy 2020-2024 aspires for an Africa where evidence is used consistently to transform lives. AFIDEP is registered in and has offices in Kenya and Malawi and is also registered in the USA as a 501c3 non-profit.
