Erin Mielke

Erin Mielke is a Health Development Officer in USAID/Washington’s Office of Population and Reproductive Health. Since 2007 she has been responsible for providing technical and management support for USAID’s work in fistula prevention and treatment, postabortion care, family planning service delivery, and for USAID/Tanzania’s health team. She is the AOR for Fistula Care Plus Project and the Alternative AOR for the E2A Project. Prior to her work at USAID, she served at EngenderHealth for 10 years, leading programs in Quality Improvement and the Latin America Region. She has a Master’s degree in Public Health and nineteen years of experience in design, implementation, management and evaluation of family planning and maternal health programs. She has more than two years of field residence in East Africa and Central America. Ms. Mielke is recognized for commitment and contribution to quality improvement in clinical reproductive health services, and for mentorship of young professionals.
