Martyn Smith (Moderator)

Martyn Smith serves as the Managing Director for Family Planning 2020. He has extensive leadership experience in the family planning and reproductive health sectors in both Africa and Asia across the last 12 years, with a further 12 years of international experience in both the private and NGO sectors across three continents. Martyn led and
transformed Marie Stopes International organizations in India and Sierra Leone and in his earlier private sector work focused on supply chain management and logistics.

Julia White

As the Director for the Global Family Planning Visibility and Analytics Network (Global FP VAN) at the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC), Julia White is responsible for leading the community Global FP VAN initiative. She also serves as RHSC’s thought leader and strategist on “data for decision-making” initiatives and
identifies linkages with other related RHSC and community-led investments and initiatives. Julia has seventeen years of experience in designing, implementing, managing and evaluating international public health projects, especially reproductive health projects. Her work has focused on low resource settings, including two years in Rwanda and three years in Senegal. She has consulted for NGOs and the UN, including consulting on the Secretariat for the UN Commission on Life-saving Commodities for Women and Children. Julia speaks fluent English
and French and has a bachelor’s degree from the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

 

Prashant Yadav

Prashant Yadav is a globally recognized scholar in the area of healthcare supply chains. He is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Development, Affiliate Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD, and Lecturer at Harvard Medical School. He is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and his work has also been featured in prominent print and broadcast media. In addition to his roles in academia and think tank, Prashant serves on the boards of social enterprises and nonprofits working on healthcare supply chains. His previous roles have included: Strategy-Leader Supply Chain at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Vice-President for Healthcare Research at William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan; and Professor of Supply Chain Management at the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program. Prashant is a Chemical Engineer and obtained his PhD in Management Science & Operations Research.

Claudette  Diogo

Claudette Ahliba Diogo works with the Ghana Health Service, Family Planning Programme. She is a Pharmacist by profession, and holds an MSc in International Healthcare Management Economics and Policy from SDA Bocconi University, Millan, Italy and MSc in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University, UK. She is the Technical Lead for the National Quantification and logistics for Family Planning commodities and the Country Program Liaison for the GFPVAN. Over the past 10 years, She has been responsible for ensuring adequate stocks and availability of SRH Commodities in-country and across all levels of the healthcare system.
